Overall impression

A very interesting city of the future. A rapidly developing city, in many ways more convenient and modern than the capital.

Attitude to foreigners

Nice, many people want to raise the level of their English by talking.

Impression of local population

Very diverse, friendly, bustling. Foreigners no longer surprise even the Chinese from the province. Street traders can be irritating.

Climate

Summers are hot and stuffy; winters are chilly with moist winds. Temperature rarely falls below 0. It is comfortable outside only during spring and fall.

Education

Rapidly developing.

Quality of medicine (quality and cost)

Quality isn’t high, average costs.

Language (learning of the local language and communication with the local people)

Difficult, but you will have abundant speaking practice.

Transport (road access, quality of roads, level of driving, gasoline cost, public transportation)

Very good. The quantity of cars (issued license plates) is regulated in accordance with the capacity of the road network. Convenient subway, convenient and relatively cheap taxis.

Prices (cost of living, food, entertainment)

Prices are on the rise. Lots of inexpensive joints with various cuisines. Many national cuisines are represented, from Mexican to Scandinavian.

Job (search complexity, level of salary)

Numerous opportunities, knowledge of the Chinese language is required.

Housing (cost, availability, rent, purchase)

More and more expensive with each year. High quality housing, many modern apartment high-rises.

Crime

Very low.

Women \ men (for dating)

Not that many Caucasians, hard to meet any.

The region's economy (crisis, inflation)

The prices are growing, the city can no longer be considered cheap.
