Absolute heaven. The most important thing is not to spoil the image of the new wave of downshifters.
Seaside: it is all around. That is one of the ideas of living on an island.
Tourists are treated as walking ATMs, since their main purpose is expected to be to spend money. There is no coercion, no Turkish brazen pushiness. Everything is done so that the tourists enjoy spending money and get strong emotions and new sensations out of the deal. 90% of the vacationers enjoy their time here, the rest are snobs.
The attitude differs greatly if you arrive to live here. You become part the of the greater island family. It is most important not to shout, respect Thai customs and culture and everything will be great.
Buddhists. This describes them fully. It is hard for us to understand this society, coming from countries with several bloody revolutions per century. We are far behind the islanders’ society.
Stable. 28-32 degrees guarantees comfort and absence of seasonal and respiratory diseases.

English, Thai, Chinese, German, French. Even Russian is slowly beginning to be spoken.

Going abroad: just decide and drive (fly).
Cheaper than Kyiv.
Only freelancing or starting your own business, which is fast and easy.
Apartments start at 250$ per month, decent house with a swimming pool starts at 400$ per month.
It is fine unless you get involved in criminal activities. Nothing has happened during my 1.5 years here. There is stealing like everywhere. Done by those coming from Myanmar or Cambodia, locals don’t steal.
Each to their own. Services provided for payment. Do check that she isn’t a transvestite.
Stable. 20/2 Mb – 50$ per month. 4G networks are being tested for cellular use.
