75% against 25% in favor.
Seaside: 300 meters away, can be seen from 3 windows, but what’s the use of that?
I swim 1-2 times per year on those “unique” days mostly to receive aesthetic pleasure. Seagulls are a problem (( the absolute riffraff among birds!

I like it and haven’t even considered coming back to live in Russia in my 3 years here.
Seaside: it is a port, but there is no beach, so you need to go to Bournemouth, which is a 20-minute drive away.

Great. Few immigrants and most of them are Caucasian and educated. A clean and cozy town. A great technical university is located in the city and holds 6th place nationwide for quality. Central London is 40 minutes away by commuter train.

Overall impression

A relatively calm city, with very cozy spots. Abundant entertainment options for any taste.
It is expensive to live here as a family with kids.
Seaside: the sea is too cold to swim, only if wearing a wet suit. Windy. Perfect for walking. Thames is also nice. The sea is at least 30 minutes away in Brighton, 1 hour away in Kent, 1.5 hours away in Bournemouth (dunes) and 4-6 hours away in Cornwall.
